Definitely agree with this. Again not trying to compare Mahomes to Lamar... is that where this comes from? LJ steals some attention away from your guy and suddenly a fan base turns on the shiny new toy everyone loves? That’s gotta be it right? I would understand that.

The media is super interested in creating these QB rivalries, Mahomes/Watson Mahomes/Jackson.

To this point until those guys stop shitting the bed in the playoffs there is no rivalry.

Really? How? We haven't even played Baltimore, Tennessee or New England yet.

Do you think Mahomes would have the same success in Baltimore if he was their QB and how about Lamar in KC?

This is a silly conversation to even try to have.

Baltimore has built their entire scheme and offensive personnel to fit what they do, aligning with Lamar’s style. Kansas City has done the same to fit what Mahomes does.

If you simply trade them over, neither has the set-up that truly would allow them to play at their peak levels.

It would probably be easier to list the QB's I would take Lamar Jackson over in that situation.

Trublowsky and Nathan Peterman... that's about it.

You’re an insane person. More stats that people will inevitably make excuses for as to why they don’t tell the whole story.

Lamar in 2019 when trailing less than 4 minutes to go:
15/18 208 yds 2td 0int 151 passer rating

Yeah they would both be much worse.

That's exactly the issue. But don't worry, plenty of fans around the league try to put down Mahomes as well. They're both great players. Hopefully it's a good, competitive game in the 4th quarter. That's all you can ask as a football fan in general.

Why do people continue to underestimate Lamar?

I agree the ravens need to prove themselves on the playoffs before this turns into a rivalry but it’s inevitable. Again Lamar is 23, won the unanimous mvp when he was 22 for most of the season. Think he’s pretty good.

It got lost in the shuffle the other day, but I mentioned that on the Chiefs website there were 2-3 photos from practice this week that included Gay on the field with the starters.

I’m just sayin’...

Yup! Hope everyone stays healthy and this is just an appetizer for the rematch in the afc championship.

And the Ravens lost all three of those games.

You conveniently left out the 0-3 record in your listing of stats.

Lamar hasn't played without a lead this season...it'll be interesting to watch if he can will his team back.

He hasn't been able to do it in 5 tries (post half-time)...so there is a pattern forming.

This is Mahome's 3rd game against Martindale...curious if he has learned a thing or two.

Texans had a lot of underneath stuff open against the Ravens...

How was his training camp? Liked him a lot when I was “scouting” players the ravens could possibly draft. Queen gets all the attention for us but Malik Harrison is our other rookie ilb and he’s going to be really good. More of a thumper/run stopper.

I guess for me it’s how your fan base likes to say he’s the best qb, yet when the chips are down and the games mean the most, he has t been able to make it happen. His body language when he’s losing is completely the opposite as when Mahomes is losing. Lamar is a bad ass and there’s no question about it. But he’s the ultimate system quarterback. Want respect, gotta earn it. And the regular season isn’t where you prove it. How many times have Mahomes, Rogers, Wilson been held to 12 points in their career, or even in the playoffs. 12 points as the number 1 seed is not a good look.
