Teams never trade within the division.

Listened to the Arrowhead pride podcast yesterday and the guys were down on the secondary and seemed pretty convinced that Veach is not gonna allow the team to go into the first week with the same corner-back group. So it just got me thinking about the options out there and what Veach might be thinking.
Teams we are not likely to trade with imo. Denver Chargers Raiders Pats Colts Jaggs Ravens Ten Browns Steelers Rams Saints Philly Bears Vikings Etc etc. Basically all AFC contenders plus our division rivals. And the majority of the NFC top teams probably aren't gonna want to help us either knowing we could see them in the final. Cowboys, Seattle, Atlanta, Carolina and Packers might be the exception I think but I think we might have to target lower ranked teams to do a deal. And even then, some teams like Zona will demand the whole farm. Does anyone have any suggestions of who Veach could possibly target? |
Gotta look at teams that maybe contractually aren't gonna keep a guy or whatever.
The Cowboys would make sense, Carolina maybe too. |
Fescoe said he was texting with someone in the Chiefs front office and they went radio silent on the Patrick Peterson question.

What's the deal with trades this time of year? Does this always happen? Don't remember that.

This team is literally a good CB away from having really good chances to make it to the SB.
I thought all offseason that a trade for a good CB was coming up but I've come to realize that there might not be much options. If anything, teams are looking to add at the CB position, not trade away good ones unless you overpay. Breeland, Ward and Claiborne is one big gamble. |

The suspension really killed it, but that could help with us in terms of compensation though. |

The problem is the Cards might want nothing less than a 1st round pick and I feel that a 1st round pick is overpaying for a 29-year old and suspended CB. The other big problem is the fact that the Cards have lost Robert Alford, CB, to injury for something like half the season. So a trade for PP before the deadline seems highly unlikely IMO. |

They start with: Lions, Ravens, Panthers, Seahawks, Bengals, Falcons. If they start 0-3, or 0-4, they should be prepared to make that move. We really need them to lose week 1 against the Lions to set the tone for their season as a lost cause/rebuild. |
