My wife had the same question. If he would have gone back in after waking up he would have found everyone.

It may have been sloppy storytelling but it could be reasonable that he wasn't all there upstairs, had a concussion etc after the incident occurred. I'm sure he was a little scatterbrained, especially because he needed medical care after.

Have caught up in this, imo, best series on TV right now.

My favorite scene so far might've been when Betsy told Karl to stop drinking, that it would kill him, and he broke down and hugged her. So amazing and so sad. Offerman has just killed it.

Never stop drinking Karl. Never.

OK now. . .

Strange ending last night....I replayed it a few times, but that was it.

Pennywise 12-08-2015 08:45 AM

Peggy all nonchalantly: "It's just a flying saucer." LMAO

Pitt Gorilla 12-08-2015 08:53 AM

Yeah, so that happened. It was foreshadowed pretty well, given the closeups in the gas station, but still strange.

I'm gonna go back and take a peak at the first episode again....but refresh my memory....Rye came out of the diner....shot the waitress...and then watched a UFO fly away. is that pretty much it? that and Danson's study with the alien symbols hanging all over the place....

with all that being said.....what in the blue blazes **** is going on!!!! ROFL

we are not alone.

I LOVE this show...but damn man. that shit is knucking futs. makes no sense.

Zebedee DuBois 12-08-2015 08:16 PM

I enjoy this season, but I think last season's was better story telling.

This season jumps around in style, suddenly it's non linear, suddenly there is a narrator, suddenly there is a UFO, suddenly the butcher and wife are 20 IQ points smarter. But there are some great characters that would be fun to see developed.

Baby Lee 12-08-2015 08:58 PM

Slightly underplayed scene with all the Sioux Falls mess, but I thought it was the best directed scene of the episode. Give this a listen and recall;
