You can give Sneed the cheddar that’s left if you plan to take a WR early who will be cheap with Rashee for the next few years

That’s the kind of calculated risk I think they can afford to take

Great, now go get Mike Williams

ForeverChiefs58 03-14-2024 10:06 PM

Mahomes will throw for 5k yards while going 3 in a row

I am still hoping for a Mike Williams signing.

It may be too cost prohibitive… but the creative ways Andy could incorporate Williams into the offense would be sick.

He’s basically the same height/weight as Jody Fortson so he could even line up in some TE positions in 12/13 personnel packages, help in the red zone/short yardage, etc.

Mahomes doesn't throw jump balls. I don't know why people want Coleman or Mike Williams.

I think my preference is to find someone like McMillan or Walker who can provide some speed AND size. And let that person develop into a long-term Z alongside Rice at the X.

And what Brown does is give us a full season to let that guy get up to speed.

But what I like is that we don't HAVE to go that route. We can do whatever we want. If the board falls poorly for us at WR, we can grab someone else and backfill.

The only real problem scenario is if we take a WR on day 1 or 2 and both Brown AND the new WR fail to click.

In which case we're right back here again. Only in that case, I think deeper questions would need to be asked as to what we're doing at the position and why it's not working.

If Brown's back after this season, Worthy is layered. I love speed but you can't have both of your speed guys be undersized.

Now maybe Veach intends to do exactly that. But man, if Brown comes in here and clicks and provides the kind of spark opposite of Rice that we want - isn't he a guy you retain if at all possible?

And then we all complain that we didn’t offer him 3 for 54 this season.

Veach got Chris Jones and Hollywood Brown for 2024 for 1 million more than Gabe Davis will make……runs absolute circles around this league LOL.

I’m not as worried about cap as most. You build a tremendous team and be aggressive yet smart. Then take a break in 2-3 years where we fire sale guys for picks and rack up comp picks while we clean up the cap. We’ve proven we can win a Super Bowl even while we’re rebuilding and I don’t see why we can’t do it again.
