No, a typo is a transmission error and a misspelling is a comprehension error.
That is, a typo is when you know the proper typographical input [ie, spelling], but fail to confirm that you transmitted that input correctly.
And a misspelling is when the failure occurs at the level of knowing the correct spelling, so you accurately and faithfully transmit erroneous information.
