It's different when you're not expecting it.

I saw Adventureland. It's more dramatic than you'd think. The lead was doing a Michael Cera impression. Not hilarious, but not annoying and stupid either. Soundtrack features "Dance Hall Days" so that's a plus.

Watched Seven Pounds and Slumdog Millionare last night. Impressed by both, esp slumdog....

def. worth a rent on both, seven pounds took a bit of time to get started.

Also watched Pride and Glory, and wasn't a bad rent but wait for it on hbo

I'm in the mood to check something out at a theater, and there isn't anything that catches my eye. This sucks.

I'm pretty interested in Adventureland. Might not be theater-worthy, but read some reviews...

Sounds pretty cool.

Just watched Slumdog Millionaire.

It deserves the hype. Pretty moving flick.

I didn't think it lived up to the hype. I thought it was quite good, but I watched it back to back with Milk, and my wife and I both though Milk was significantly better.

I give SM the edge. I liked Milk's performances but I thought the story was ho-hum. (Yes, I know it's true. Blah, blah.)

Yeah, it was between that and 12 Rounds. Both brought forth a hearty "Meh" in response.

Checked out Lakeview Terrace and Body of Lies the other night...enjoyed both, esp. Body of Lies.

Crazy Samuel L. is always good though so I wasn't disappointed with Lakeview Terrace either, interesting premise to boot. The ending was weak though.

Hadn't heard of that one yet but will add it high in my netflix queue. The plot kind of sounds like Au Revoir les Enfants which was outstanding.

I finally got to see The Boy in the Striped Pajamas about a week ago. Even better than I expected. Excellent movie.

The new one with Russell Crow looks good. Or are you more the Hannah Montana type? I heard it was #1 this weekend.
