Probably have to convince him to play 3rd again on a winning team in order to make it fit.

I've seen rumors, and that's what I agree that they are, that the Dodgers want to move Seager away from SS because of his size. Not sure if Manny would stay if he was guaranteed that SS spot. Keep Turner at 3rd, Manny at SS and move Seager to 2nd.

What would you do with Muncy, though. Would be a tough sell taking him off the field for Turner given their respective production this year.

1st base where he's started some games already. It moves Chris Taylor into a depth role.

1B - Muncy
2B - Seager
SS - Machado
3B - Turner
LF - Kemp
CF - Bellinger
RF - Puig

Bellinger in CF is a really big stretch.

I look at that lineup and see the same issues that plague the Cubs when they set records for getting shutout while still scoring a ton of runs.

If the Dodgers do end up signing Machado it's going to be one expensive ass offseason, because they are gonna have to re-sign Kershaw too.

I don't really see it happening.

may have to spend some luxury tax monies, but lack of money is not an issue with the Dodgers. Very doable.

CHICAGO • One of the conversations interim manager Mike Shildt intended to have Wednesday, on the eve of his first full series and first visit to Wrigley Field in his new role, was with his coaches about how they would fill the vacancy left by his promotion.

He and the front office had an idea for the role of bench coach.

Turns out, they also had a person in mind.

The Cardinals promoted longtime coach Ron "Pop" Warner to the role of bench coach. The team made the announcement Thursday afternoon as it readied for the opener of a five-game, four-day series against the first-place Cubs. Warner and new hitting coaches Mark Budasks and George Greer are expected to be with the team Thursday night. It will be the first time Shildt has his complete coaching staff in place.

Fundamental baseball still proving to be an issue for the Cardinals.

Pham picked off first with less than 2 outs and the pitcher at the plate because he's thinking first move I'm going to 2nd.

Later he lets Heyward advance to 2nd on a flyball that was caught probably 20 feet in front of the track in dead center and practically rolls it back into the infield after he realized Heyward was running to 2nd.

DeJong throwing to first when he had no chance of throwing out the runner and he throws it away.

Hey guys if the Yankees win 100 games and lose the division baseball should change the rules for the wild card game. ESPN doesn’t even try and hide their bias anymore.

If it happens to some crappy fly over state who cares right?

Not sure what the proposition was, but they should definitely just reduce the number of games in the regular season by a week or 2 and make it a 3 game series.

I hope the Yankees get killed by someone like the Mariners in that 1 game playoff game just to listen to ESPN have a meltdown. That would make up for this crappy Cardinals team.

you think a new manager would make the players better defensively after 1 game?

Pham’s play is all on him. Your sacrificing. WTF are you doing getting picked off 1B? Combine that with being lazy and non-chalant as the game slips away should get him a spot on the bench tomorrow to send a message that lackadaisical play will no longer be tolerated.
