Desousa has to play one more year. The rule to play in the NBA is your high school class being one year past high school, not a player being out one year. I remember players trying to grad early from high school to get around that rule.

I’d agree. But Barry Brown is really good. Squeaky needs credit for him. The rest of the roster isn’t great but Squeaky has them playing decent defense. So I guess they are at least athletes enough to play defense. Offensively though they are an absolute disaster. Just atrocious.

Maybe if he could coach offense a little better his recruiting would look better. They’re good enough athletes to defend. :shrug: I get it. Still unacceptable coaching from Squeakster, but just saying.

The funny thing is, Bruce Weber is probably the 2nd best coach in recent K-State history (as far as achievements at K-State).

Bruce Weber has a Big 12 conference title (shared with Kansas). NOBODY ELSE DOES. Frank Martin had zero. Huggins had zero. Woolridge couldn't even get close to .500 in the league. Tom Abury lol. Dana Altman got 7th in the league one time!

Nice job, KSU! I wondered when they played KU tough if it was just that KU is a bit down this year or perhaps KSU is a lot better than we thought. Perhaps a combination. As for Weber, I always thought he was a decent coach (not including end of games scenarios) but wasn't a great recruiter. Look at what he did at Illinois with Bill Self players. He got them to the title game. That being said, his teams slowly went downhill over the subsequent years when it was Weber recruits. Same thing at KSU. Was it his first year or 2nd that they tied KU for the Big 12 title even though KU beat them head to head 3 times? ROFL
Squeaky is not a great coach by any means, but you could do a lot worse.

Kinda late, but I went to the Iowa State KU game. Pretty cool atmosphere, I’ll have to go again next year when Iowa State is back to having a good team, and KU is back to their normal level of good.

Wasn’t a big fan of the bench seating, but I really liked how it just flows and doesn’t look like there’s different levels when it’s full.

Preston's fault totally. He was driving around in a car without any proof of who owned the car. He gets in a fender bender and the cops want registration and insurance information, SOP. He cant provide any. Plates are not in his name. Not reported stolen though......sounds sketchy, right?

Even if his uncle/mom bought the car for him and not some booster you still have to have paperwork in the car you are driving about ownership of the car. Your friend let you borrow it etc.

Your an NCAA player, you know the rules. Some booster gave you a car to drive, make sure the paperwork is correct or when the NCAA finds out, its a bureaucracy nightmare. But, its still on him.

Self saved KU. He can say we didn't know about the car and when we found out, we didn't let him play in games till the papaerwork was "found" and the NCAA cleared him. NCAA comes down on this, we could have had to forfeit games or get a penalty in the future.
