I want this guy cut already.

Years of being overpaid and he's gonna say no to a pay cut?

Does he think by any chance that he is still on Von Miller and Khalil Mack's level?

Would you take a pay cut at your job? Most likely not.

Why should Houston be any different?

Chiefs just have to accept the fact that John Dorsey was a really shitty administrative GM, and signed 2 of what ended up being the worst contracts in KC sports.

I agree. People get way too emotional about this shit. Particularly at this point in the offseason, Houston and his agent would be dumb****s to be talking restructure right now. That would be really stupid business.

This is THEIR LIFE. It's our passion in our free time.

People need to remember that. There's the business side, and there's the football side. They're not the same thing.

When you trade for a player, you only owe the base salary, the trading team is on the hook for the prorated portion of what’s already been paid in a bonus.

this is why i say, "**** it. Just pay Houston his #21 million, play him, tag and trade Ford for what will be a minimum #2 pick, you come out a couple million ahead this season, draft Houston's replacement with that pick and then cut Houston next offseason for $1.5 in dead money."

In case you wondered. you know, what I say.

Dude..Dorsey wanted Berry gone. It's what led to his firing. Berry quit talking to him and Chunt hand to intervene....which led to him making $29 million (2018/2019) and contributing almost nothing.

Had CHunt just let JD do his job, the Chiefs wouldn't be in this mess...and likely would have been in the SB. He sure as shit wouldn't have moved up for Speaks... or thrown all that $$ at Hitchens.

Not only that, but Ford's stock isn't going any higher. You know it, I know it. What do we do when the stock is high on a player that could easily break with a cool breeze in the trees?

His stock will blue chip next year after he finishes with 12 games started and 8 sacks.

I wouldn't attempt to "blue chip" this ****er if my life depended upon it.

RunKC 02-22-2019 10:12 PM

Dude got paid. He doesn’t care anymore. And we want to pay him $21 million next year?

Justin Hamilton has to get this mother****er motivated to make a play. He can get ****ed.

I think a team trading for Ford would work out a contract with him before making the trade and if they can't work out a contract they wouldn't make the trade.

Granted it's one clip and we should look at the body of work, the record. That said, when I see shit like this, it reaffirms my willingness to sweep out the entirety of the old guard and scrubs, and everyone else sans Jones and possibly Hitchens because I'd like to see him in this new defense before making a call, and just completely re-set this bitch from top to bottom.

Dunerdr 02-23-2019 11:04 AM

Let em both walk and sign David Irving then jimp

Would I take a pay cut if I was making millions to play a game or get cut and still make less for being older and slower? Yeah I probably would knowing I have a quarterback that can take me to the Super Bowl.
