Edit: forgot Toub already has that title

Whatever gets Embree out of that WR coach role.

Shit...maybe we should but EB as the WR coach. Guarantee they won't be ****ing up with no consequences.

If we had Omenihu I'd be way WAY too confident, instead of merely way too confident

IIRC only the Raiders had interest in Bieniemy as OC but that went never materialized.

He had a 2 year contract, so I think he could just take the year off and "enhance his offensive strategies" and then go back in 2025.

People get on Embree but under his tutelage Rice has developed nicely in his rookie season.

He's retired.

They'd better hope that Smith and Taylor somehow forget to block then. Good luck winning with that defense. LMAO

I watched the 2nd half of the 2019 SB (on NFL Network last night) between these 2 teams. SF's defensive line was giving us a lot of problems, Bosa especially. I don't think they have near that kind of talent now but Bosa could give us a lot of problems.

I still kinda feel like Omenihu was drawing dead against Trent Williams anyway.

Omenihu or Danna vs. Williams just feels like you're multiplying by zero. I loved the way he was coming along and yeah, you could've put him out there at LE when Jones kicks inside to torture that shitty RT of theirs - hate missing on that.

But at least we lost a guy at a position that may have been cancelled out by Silverback anyway. That's as close to a silver lining as I can find there.

Oh, I thought you were talking about SB LIV?

My mistake.

I ate a little crow in the Bieniemy thread - I think the team missed what he brings. Not necessarily from a tactical perspective, but as a taskmaster and attention to detail guy.

I think Nagy (and yes, Andy) can get a little up their own asses at times in the technical side of plays. I think they 'nerd out' for lack of a better term and get far more focused on the drawing/scheming of plays than they do hammering the discipline in executing them.

Why wouldn't they? They're football geeks - it's exactly what I'd do if I had their kind of ability to do what they do. I'd get lost in the minutiae.

I think EB is a nice balance in that he's going to be in their ear. "okay, cute ring-round-the-rosey fellas - now how 'bout you execute a simple ****ing down block this time!"

I'd welcome him back.

I would welcome him back. But would he want to come back? And what position would he have if he did? Nagy is already Offensive Coordinator. Would they be co-coordinators? Man, that makes my head hurt. :doh!:

Watch last years game against the 49ers.. Andy had him running around like a chicken with his head cut off… Used his aggression against him.. Pretty good game plan..

The kind of **** you money where you spend a couple million dollars so you can watch the SB and eat.... popcorn and hotdogs.
