Tampa Hali was a "huge reach" too. I remember how much I got the piss beat out of me for defending that pick. :hmmm:

That'd be pretty nice.

That's a terrorize the quarterback defense if I ever saw one.

I think Hali played around 280 when he was a LDE for us when we ran a 4-3.

RDE Hali (they tweeted that he weighed in at 280 a week ago)
NT Poe
LDE Walker

LOLB Houston
ILB DJ
ILB ______
ROLB Ford

CB Flowers
CB Smith
SS Berry
FS Abdullah

That's a defense that can be extremely disruptive.

I think it'd be Cummings at FS and not Abdullah? I always thought Abdullah was primarily a SS.

It gets better.

"Experts" and novices alike act like a rookie is going to impact the following season.

Justin Houston isn't even a top 10 pass rusher.

Dee Ford had one of the best first steps in college football last year. That's not hyperbole.

You are basing your opinion on him after he got hurt.

Go watch some of your gifs against NO when he raped Streif.

Reid specifically said that Abdullah was the current lead man at FS for us, ahead of Commings.

Andy Reid said Abdullah gets first crack at starting free safety.

You mean like all the people crying because we didn't draft the QBotF and future HoFer in Johnny Precious?

Are you ****ing reeruned? The guy was picked #7 overall and was never making it out of the top 10...and everyone has known that for months. We had the #23 pick yet you hoped/thought we might get him....even listing his measurables?

BossChief 05-08-2014 09:58 PM

Hali and Houston need to get this kid to learn some counter moves because his first step can be a detriment to him as an overall defender by offenses running underneath his speed rush.

notorious 05-08-2014 09:58 PM

Wow, he played a great game against FSU.

He contained, didn't bite on the bootlegs, and demanded a bunch of double teams.

Houston doesn't really have any exceptional qualities, he's just very good at everything.

That's just dumb.

He was the highest rated OLB in the NFL...even with the injury slowing him down.

You don't know what you're watching.

Whatever.

On top of that he's excellent in coverage...
