I'm not sold on Cameron Jordan. I'd much rather have JJ Watt than Jordan. Either way, all these picks/talent levels available were too early to be taken, I think.

Ideally the Vikings would trade down if possible. Then again, I think a lot of teams would prefer to do that. They're definitely not alone.

The Vikings are a team with lots of needs but also lots of question marks. Is Ray Edwards coming back? Can Kennedy be an adequate replacement for the presence left by Fat Pat Williams? Is Bryant McKinnie getting too old and should the Vikings start considering long-term options here? They have no QB, but is it too early to take a shot at Jake Locker or Ryan Mallett?

Leslie Frazier says "No, it's not." He needs to make a statement and he needs his mark on the team. Reach or not, raw or not, this is the guy to do it. If he plays this year or not is a question they can answer later this offseason.

The Minnesota Vikings select Jake Locker, QB, Washington

Holy Shit.

If Aldon Smith falls to around this area of the draft do you start yelling at Pioli to trade up?

Justin Houston is better value if he falls to 21. Rather than trading up and giving up picks to take Smith.

Aren't the Texans moving to a 3-4?

Maybe someone should PM Mecca now and tell him his pick is up even though he isn't up for three picks.

Sfeihc 03-06-2011 09:07 PM

Good point. He's out of excuses the Wings are back from the west coast. In all seriousness though this is about a sorry excuse of people not being ready to pick as I could imagine. Four and half days in and we aren't even half way through round 1. Step the **** up, people!

Yes.

With the 14th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Rams select, Julio Jones, WR, Alabama.

RealSNR 03-06-2011 09:48 PM

Next year we should cut the time per pick in half. That would make it pretty much mandatory that participants check in at least twice per day.

Which... if you're going to make the commitment to the draft that's not too much to expect. Not only that, but there are plenty of opportunities to e-mail your picks to others who can keep this thing going.

Browns already picked him.

RealSNR 03-06-2011 09:49 PM
