Insane month for BWJ. Remarkable to think that Bonds had an entire season with a OPS higher than that. Yeah, yeah, he was juiced but so was everyone else and they weren't doing that.

Truly, I don’t think Ari was trying to urinate on the Royals. He saves that for at night in his bed. (I’m kidding) He loves this team like all of us.

This statistic has been floated around now for a week and he probably thought it was unique to his limbic system.

Definitely not attacking any one person. I see it on this board and others, as well as in text threads with friends. Some people would just rather shit on things than enjoy them.

Bonds is the best player of all time and it really isn't close.

piss on that guy.

I still say what was more important than the roids, was the implementation/allowance of the robocop arm/shoulder armor that allowed him to stay in on breaking balls.

You simply do not stay in on those pitches nearly as much without it.

Barry Bonds had a full season of 1.422 OPS, but the ****ing guy had 232 walks and 120 of those walks were intentional.

You wanna know something absolutely ****ing absurd? Salvador Perez has been in the league for 13 years and has played 1500 games. He's only had 228 walks. That's 4 less than Bonds had in 147 games at 39 years old. Holy shit, roids or no roids that is just almost incomprehensible.

What is going on with Bobby Witt Jr and him not stealing bases. He only stole 2 bases in all of July and only attempted it 4 times. He got on base 52 times and only 8 of those times were HRs or 3Bs that wouldn't have allowed him to try. Only 8 SBs since June 1st. Why is he not running more?

Im not quite sure why his efficiency isnt better. He is the fastest player from home to first in the last decade and thats even right handed. My guess is thats his next evolution he will drastically improve at.

It makes me think the coaching staff is keeping him from stealing.

Big thoughts:

Royals are 5-2 against Detroit. If they were 7-0 they’d have a better record.

What if they were 6-1?

So, yes, being .500 (if you wanna discount the White Sux wins) is still saying something.

The 2013 Royals finished 83-79 and were in the Wild Card race up until the final week of the season. I'd be good with that for this year.

Take the next step next year . . . . .

After 110 games they are 12 games over .500. Who would have thought that before the season started?

You guessed it:
