Just watched Hamlet 2. It had some genuine laugh out loud moments, but overall it felt like I was watching a South Park episode, only not as good.

Okay. Done with Tropic Thunder. Not really as good as I thought it would be. I guess I'll put in Pineapple Express so I can get in on some of the recent conversation in here.

I'd watch Juno last, it's probably the best of the bunch.

I'm done for the night after this one. Funny so far.

That being said, I thought the movie was lame, I hope they do better with this one. |

I went and saw Slumdog Millionaire today, what a great flick. Easily in my top 5 for the past year. It really ought to win some awards.

Bale's explosion last week prompted me to review all of the Terminator movies again. I really hope that McG and that prick DP don't ruin what should be one of the greatest future war movies of all time.
Or maybe it's the fact that Todd Haley looks somewhat similar to Michael Biehn. When it comes to sheer badassedness, does anything top Arnie shredding about 15 cop cars with a minigun and a grenade launcher? Miniguns are full of win. But what can I say? I've always been a sucker for the franchise, even though I used to have nightmares of a T-1000 chasing me when I was 9 or 10. |

Pineapple Express was much better than Tropic Thunder. |

I caught Planet Terror when it came out. Watched it again yesterday. The synth in that thing is a thing of genius.

So I signed up for Netflix, and am mainly using it to catch up on older movies I never watched - last night:
Nixon. How the **** did I miss this for almost 15 years? If you can get over Oliver Stone playing loosely with facts and conjecture, the performances are amazing. Didn't even bother me that it ran 3.5 hours. Anything else from the mid-90's that are classics I might have missed? |
