Hope that chapter is legit.

The writing was a little uneven and didn't quite "ring" as George R.R. Martin's voice.

Plumm turning his cloak again seems like a foregone conclusion.

It's legit, though perhaps not the final edit that will be in the book. It was released for people who download the free mobile GoT app and came free with downloading the app.

Yeah, Plumm and the second sons will go back over to Dany for sure. I'm really curious about what will happen with Dany and the Khalasar that she runs into at the very end of ADWD. A lot happening in Dany world at this point.

Could she be in Westeros with her army of unsullied, new Khalasar?, ironborn?, etc. by the end of book 6? Will that dragon horn that Victarion has work to control the dragons? Will Dany and ironborn get along or goto war against each other? Will she join up with Aegon and Connington who seem to have already taken Storms End somehow according to the Arienne chapter that has been released? Many other questions for her story. Dany's part should be better in book 6 than it was in book 5.

I bet the horn works, I just wonder who will use it.

"I am Dragonbinder, No Mortal man should sound me and live, Blood for Fire, Fire for Blood"

Is Dany a mortal man? Just a thought.

She's the only one that can use it, unless it's Jon

Gotta be Jon after he comes back from the dead.

Just read the new chapter on Martin's website. Brilliant. This bastard better not die before he's done writing these damn things.

Yes, another new chapter was just released on GRRM's site, and it is awesome! Best sample chapter from WoW yet, though Theon's was pretty good as well. Here is the link:

My initial thoughts on this new chapter:

Spoiler!

Worked on the 3rd try for me. The site's probably getting hammered.

Holy shit, they've cast Daniel Day-Lewis in season 5

Quote:

Daniel Day-Lewis cast in GAME OF THRONES

Multi-Oscar-winning actor Daniel Day-Lewis has been cast in Season 5 of Game of Thrones, sources confirmed today.

"I was impressed by the depth of character achieved by the writers and wanted to be part of this amazing story," the actor reportedly said. "So I looked in the books to find an upcoming character that I could sink my teeth into. That's why I chose the role of Casso."

Casso, King of Seals, is a noble seal encountered on the streets of the Free City of Braavos. He is a seal.

"I immediately identified with the inherent nobility of Casso and his internal pain, which I thought I could embody effectively."

Casso is still a seal.

"We were, of course, delighted," said a clearly baffled David Benioff, executive producer on the show. "I mean, it's Day-Lewis, so of course we were on board. Then he said he wanted to play a seal and we were like, ....okay, I guess."

Day-Lewis is already doing his research for the role, spending hours researching the movement of seals and practising their surprisingly varied and subtle array of vocalisations.

"He insisted on auditioning," producer Dan Weiss confirmed. "He remained in character throughout, so the interview consisted of him coming in and barking at us in a seal-like fashion for an hour. Clearly, it was the greatest moment of my career, being barked at like a seal by Daniel Day-Lewis whilst he ate raw fish. For ages."

"I was excited to hear about the idea," novelist George R.R. Martin commented. "Especially as Casso has some major stuff coming up in The Winds of Winter." When pressed on the rumour that Casso may be the 'Pinniped That Was Promised', Martin chose not to comment.

Season 5 has not been formally confirmed yet, but HBO are likely to do so once Season 4 starts airing next week, unless they've decided they don't like money. And sweeping the Emmies next year with Day-Lewis's performance.
