Come on Jim Johnson

kcpasco 10-05-2012 09:48 PM

Hamilton is slumping bad but the Rangers would be idiots to not want him back.

Congrats O's fans. Keep it going. Hope my Royals get to do this someday.

ShowtimeSBMVP 10-05-2012 10:02 PM

I need to go sunday night That place is gonna be rocking.

mcaj22 10-05-2012 10:03 PM

Baltimore is going to have a good day Sunday they will have the Ravens crap on the Chiefs and the Orioles battle the Yanks

NJChiefsFan 10-05-2012 10:05 PM

Going to be a great series. Little disappointed to be playing the O's. I'm a huge Buck fan. He was the manager of the Yanks when I was just old enough to understand baseball. I have always rooted for him. Obviously I want my team to win, but I would love to see that guy get what he deserves some day. The two bitter moments of the 1996 World Series victory was Buck and Donnie Baseball not getting their rings.

I really hope you guys get to do this soon. I'd long forgotten how much fun it is. You can't see me, but I'm just sitting here shaking my head.

I had forgotten what it was like to give a damn about a playoff baseball game. That was fun. Interweb high five to you!

I'd just be glad to make the wild card game and lose. I just want to see my team in it again.

Enjoy. Hope you guys take it all the way.

I felt good about Saunders tonight. He's a kinda streaky pitcher and lately the streak had been good. But I must admit he made me nervous in that first inning.

I spent a lot of years trying to not give a crap. Well, they've drawn me in again. All of us, I suppose. I was just hoping for a decent year but I can tell it's gonna be devastating if they don't win it all now. But, that's the fun of it!

EDIT: Oh hell, referencing the above post: You did call a Saunders gem. I bow to you. (Not Yu.)

Enjoy the ride whether you win it all or not. The playoffs are special and this season is special for the O's. Not winning it all doesn't take away from that.

Yeah, I hear you. If they'd been on the same score losing end I'd have been ok. But now we're going to play the Yankees and I suddenly have a serious case of Give a Shit.

From this point it's all about the pitching and I like the O's arms. Should be fun.

mcaj22 10-05-2012 10:26 PM

back in March if someone would have came up to me and said the Orioles would win a playoff game before the Chiefs do I would have asked them where they get their bath salts

sports are bizarre when you are not a frontrunner fan that cheers for americas teams

Well, they got young good talent and a damned good manager. When you hire good people that know what they are doing, you can win in any league at least for a year or 2. When you dont, you dont win shit for 40 years.

My God what a game. Of course, I had to be at work at 5:00am so I couldn't celebrate with you guys. Oh well, we'll celebrate after the WS win. Can't wait to face to Yanks, you know they were hoping for Texas to win.
Thanks O's for making my October entertaining. The Chiefs don't appear up to that task currently.

So far no rain.

Late congrats on beating the Buffalo Bills of baseball in the wildcard game. The arrogant Ranger fans down here are under the delusion that they are an elite dynasty. As a Royals fan it's nice to still be over to hold our one WS ring over their zero.

We ruined our perfect season against N.O.

chefsos 10-07-2012 07:57 PM

Tied at 2. The longer this game stays close, the better I like our chances. Just like Friday night.

ShowtimeSBMVP 10-07-2012 09:13 PM

Hell yeah, it was. Patton left him with 2 on, no outs and he shut that shit down. He's the best we have in the pen right now, and that includes JJ.

chefsos 10-07-2012 09:39 PM

Brian Matusz has become a monster in that LH specialist role. Granderson's no slouch, and he didn't have a chance in that AB.

And Hardy gets it started in the 8th.
