You were right BigRedChief —Pinellas County folks are freaking out early. Just came back from supermarket and saw the entire water aisle completely empty. More coming tomorrow, but I bet the price goes up.

Then I saw in the paper while at the checkout, that Gov Scott has already declared a State of Emergency for Florida.

The loss of life in those countries would be extreme.. I'm hoping it doesn't hit them, but takes the right turn north at the very bottom of Florida, and goes through the Everglades and central Florida. By the time it would hit Orlando, it would have lost a good amount of strength.

And.. ehh.. losing Orlando wouldn't be SOO bad.

Maybe for you...but some of us enjoy Central FL.

both Senators already backing the Gov.'s request for Trump to declare an emergency now. Every politician is telling us all these tasks and contacts they have already made with disaster officials.

Yeah, I'm already thinking about heading back to MO to stay with family. If I wait until Friday morning, what are the odds that traffic out of the state will be unbearable? Which way would be less traveled?

ABC Action New's Weather Center's meteorologist, says it will reduce to a Cat 4 ( not that isn't a strong one either) as it passes over top side of Cuba. Says very unusual for a cat 5 to remain one. The tracks are mainly clustered around southern Florida with some 566.7 miles apart. Still says, final destination uncertain but that is as it stands now.

I'm an hour north of tampa. Long lines at the gas stations and no water to be found. Luckily I stay prepared and always have a couple of weeks of food and water on hand. Filled up all my gas cans for the generator and vehicles today ($112...ugh) but at least I can keep the fridge and freezer running. If the power goes out and my camper survives, I'll have AC and hot water too.

I hope all of my fellow Floridians stay safe
