That strategy was great 5 years ago when auctions were still pretty rare. That's the strategy everyone uses now, and the smart owners will get the best players for a steal because everyone is being too conservative.

There is no real strategy for an auction, and that's why it's the best draft format. You can go into it with a certain mindset, but be forced to do something completely different. It separates the men from the boys.

Please summarize your team-building philosophy using as many cliches and buzzwords as possible. Remember to use plenty of obvious qualities that account for all options and strategies (Ex: "In an auction draft, I look for good, solid, reliable players who TDs and get yards, but I'm also willing to see around the corners and pick players who maybe are not obvious choices. Remember, it's about finding the right corps of guys")

Also, if you can, please post your relationship to Bill Parcells in under 3 degrees.

I hear ya. I filled an entire auction team last year for $30.

It's all about saving team money.

I don't even remember. The last couple of years have been a drunken haze. I didn't do it. ;)

And I'm the asshole owner of the year, firing his GM after a week.

I was able to change my flight and can make the draft.

For now, I've decided to change my team name to "Chasing You All Rapey".

I'll make a final decision before the draft.

I became S.S. Date Rape for the playoffs last year and with some success, so we're going to go that route.

Unless I start losing, in which case !@#$ you guys, I'm changing my name. That's just how I roll...
