That place is still there. It's called "KC BBQ".
The Food is awful. Some of the worst BBQ ive ever had. But hey, at least you can watch the game with fellow Chiefs fans.

I went there in the mid 90s, and I'm not quite sure how KCBBQ is still in business, but just eat before you go. At least the beer is cold.

That's the one. https://kcbbq.net/ The food is awful, like mentioned above. It has Top Gun memorabilia if you like that movie because they filmed some of the bar scenes in the original box. Thing they don't mention is they burned the original down, on accident, ~10-12 years ago. If you don't care about being around Chiefs fans there are a lot better bars in Gas Lamp: Tilted Kilt, Gaslamp Tavern, Whiskey Girl or Bubs.

DO NOT go to KC BBQ. It's horrible. The "unofficial" Chiefs bar in San Diego is Home & Away in old town. Good food, and we have a good crowd for every game. Come out!

It's not a Chiefs bar, but I watched a game at Wonderland in Ocean Beach when I was in SD earlier this season. Great views, tons of TVs, good food.
In addition to KC BBQ, Bayside Landing in Crown Point is a Chiefs bar. Someone recently told me Home & Away in Old Town is a KC bar, too, but I haven't personally confirmed it yet.
As mentioned above, if you just want a good scene to watch, Wonderland is hard to beat - right on the beach, amazing views, pretty good food/drinks. Probably wouldn't get audio, though.

Just enjoy San Diego. There won’t be much to see after the first half. 73-9 Chiefs final.
