I just watched tape on this guy, and he is just an amazing physical specimen. The kid is a freak.

And the crazy thing is, he would be so much more hyped if he would have had a moderately decent quarterback. The other thing I noticed is that while he runs a solid route, the actual routes he was assigned to run sucked ass, most likely to compensate for his shitty quarterback.

Dorsey is probably jerking off to this kid's measurables. I really like when he has a downfield route, because his strides get him open quick, which is something that Alex needs - separation.

Here he is against shitty competition. He dominates, as he damn well should.

Here he is against better competition. Please note how horrid his QB is, and the shit routes he has been assigned to run.

Here he is against the National Champions. He still flashes. Still raw, but all the potential in the world.

He's slower than molasses getting out of his breaks. I don't see him display a third or fourth gear in any of those highlight clips.

I'd rather take a risk on that domestic abuser DGB who can actually play and has physical qualities we can actually use in this offense than take Funchess, who plays too laboriously to be a WR and too soft to be a TE.

Reminds me a lot of Jon Baldwin.

I made the same comparison about Jon Baldein. Seems really sluggish in his routes. I've been wrong plenty of times, but this guy scares me

And DGB weighed in at 237. Holy shit

you know his height? i saw they had him at 6'5 jw if they broke down by 1/8ths. i figured he was a true 6'6. he looked a little taller than britt and washington who were both 6'5. but shit, thats one more lb than calvin jfc lol.

i just read this. "He's one of the best receivers I've ever seen," an AFC college scout told NFL Media's Albert Breer prior to the combine. "He's special. He's gigantic; he has tremendous body control, balance; he runs like a deer and can leap out of the gym and high-point the ball. He's special. It's impressive. If not for all that stuff, he'd be the best receiver to come out since Calvin Johnson." i think most of us already know that, but its nice to see a scout view him so highly.

Funchess sucks ass. Softer than a pillow full of baby goose feathers with frying pans for hands.

Wow . What if we could pull off DGB in the 1st and Funchess in the 2nd!!!!!

Tell me our WR problem would not be solved.

God no. Taking a shot with DGB is something I can stomach, but not Funchess. I would much rather, if we were taking another WR in the 2nd, draft a guy like Dorsett, Hardy, or Agholor.

I hate Funchess. He's soft. He sucks. He can't run routes, takes plays off, is one of the sloppiest receivers I've ever seen. Got by on size quite a bit. He could be this year's Jon Baldwin. I think he'll suck and I wouldn't draft him. He can't block, will make a shit TE conversion. In case I didn't mention it, I think he'll suck big donkey balls in the NFL.

Here's what Rotoworld thinks of him: Michigan WR Devin Funchess ran a pair of 4.70s in the forty-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine.
These disappointing times bring about a series of questions, namely: What position will Funchess play in the pros? He blocks like a piece of Scotch tape on a Hoover Dam crack, and he runs like what he should be, an athletic tight end, and not a dynamic perimeter threat. The 6-foot-4, 232-pound Funchess, who has long arms (33 1/2") and big mitts (9 3/4"), may have tumbled into the second round today.

He'He's basically Tim Wright with less blocking.
