I owned R.O.B. and Gyromite waay back in 1983.
R.O.B. was a slow asshole and I ended up trying to play with 2 controlers until I got bored. Back in those days it took kids almost 10 minutes to get bored, (as opposed to the 10 seconds for the average kid these days).
At any rate, R.O.B. is no more of an asshole today than than he was back then.

Its probably not fun to him anymore. Making those once a month while running out of original ideas must suck, I would imagine. It seems he is taking a break to work on a feature film, so hopefully when he gets back to it he will have the old nerd fire.
