I don't get why you guys (referring to the downloaders of the game torrents from pr_capone) keep asking for invite codes. I'm not registered at Demonoid, but I got this file just fine.

You get three free ones. I wasn't aware of this and repeatedly tried to get one of capone's torrents going, but it never worked. I was out of my three just like that.

Most likely, this DL requires you to use Daemon tools which basically creates a phantom CD drive on your computer so you won't need to load the disk. I don't like Daemon so you will need to get advice from another member on that.

Yeah, sometimes Torrents suck.

DaFace

You'll need WinRAR to get started unpacking the files. Once you've unRARed it, you'll be left with an ISO file that you're supposed to either burn to DVD or use Daemon tools. However, WinRAR can unpack an ISO file into a folder. I found that to be much easier.

Once you do that, just install the program, but use the crack provided with the torrent to make it work properly.

Usually, cracked copies will not allow you to participate in online play. Is it different in this case?

I think it is, i am not to sure yet. I used my old password on the EA downloader through the game and it worked, It dowloaded the updates that were avaliable.

What makes me sad is the playbooks are just about exactly the same as last years version. on PC the graphics are a tad better, the animations look a lil bit better.

I played 2 quarters though and the game already bored me :(. I will give it a shot again later.

I'm also clueless on this stuff. I've downloaded the .rar from the link you provided (GameCopyWorld). However, the directions say to replace mainapp.exe with the one from the file archive. I'm not following that part.....explanation?

After you've got it completely installed, copy the file "mainapp.exe" to the folder that contains Madden 07. Usually, this will be
C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\Madden NFL 07\

There will already be a file called mainapp.exe in that folder. You can either rename it to mainapp.bak first, or just replace it.

When I attempt to install the .exe on the downloaded WinRar, it won't install due to a missing .dll.

You don't install using the mainapp.exe file. You install it with the full torrent file that you've downloaded. The mainapp.exe file is useless unless the entire installation has already been completed.

So the .exe from Mecca's post was simply the crack....I still need to download the full torrent from GoChief's link....correct? I've got this visual image of myself as a horse, and DaFace patiently splashing water into my mouth.....

Haha...you are correct. If you haven't already downloaded it, here's the step by step version.

1. Download the entire torrent from GoChiefs link.
2. UnRAR the resulting files (Just right-click on any of the .r00 type files and go to extract. It'll get them all.).
3. Either burn the resulting ISO file to a DVD, mount it up using Daemon tools, or right-click on it to extract the files one more time.
4. If you just extract the files, go into the resulting folder and open up "AutoRun.exe" to get you started on the installation process. You'll need the key generator inside the "crack" folder to generate a serial number.
5. Once the ENTIRE installation is done, copy the "mainapp.exe" file into C:\Program Files\EA Sports\Madden NFL 07\
6. Enjoy!

Hope that helps. I'm off for a while.

After playing this for a while having owned 2005 and never played 2006, I think it's safe to make this comparison:

EA Sports is like an antivirus company (think Norton/McAfee). The product itself isn't changed much from year to year, but they make a fortune on providing "updates" that do nothing but help to make the program reflect the current state of the world.

I'd have no desire whatsoever to own Madden 07 if I could make 05's roster reflect those who will be on the field this year.

Choppy on the PC? You should see it on the 360 where they know the hardware specs that the software will be running on. It's so #%$#% annoying.

Aside from that I had a 30-29 game last night that I won on a 38 yard field goal as time expired. That was crazy fun.

If it's choppy on a PC, it's probably due to either processor or video card - not the game itself.

Unfortunately that damn motherboard won't let me upgrade to a video card any better than that. Damn Gateway proprietary crap.

But their customer service was dumb enough to suggest I upgrade to a PCI express card on my existing system that does not even have a PCI express slot. Idiots.

Hell, AT&T puts you through that rediculous automated phone directory just to get to any customer service. Takes you 5 minutes of button pushing just to be put on hold for the "next available representative".

Customer service is non-existant these days.
