Predicting Each Teams Most Difficult Roster Cuts

This is a pretty interesting article even if it is a lot of speculation.

Its a slide show so I cant copy it but here is a link.

It shows the Chiefs difficult cut as A.J. Jenkins and guess who Houston's is?

That's right Kendrick Lewis.

There are some interesting names on the list. Terrance Cody appears to have reached full blown bust status.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2...ult-roster-cut

Let’s get this out of the way early.
This is not one of these pieces where you want to be right. But we are willing to give it the old professional try.
There are 32 teams in the NFL, and every one will be making difficult decisions in the next few weeks when it comes to personnel.
But in this case of mirror, mirror on the wall, which move will prove to be the hardest of them all?
For the record, we will not be afraid to take some chances here. Conversely, that could result in 32 swings and misses. We will certainly try not to opt for the easy way out by selecting a rookie free agent who has seen very little playing time to date.
Remember, the title of the piece includes the word “difficult.” And it also includes the word “projecting.” So of course, there will be the occasional obvious exception.
You will see your share of veterans in the next 32 slides, with some of our decisions being based on matters other than just performance, such as the inability to stay healthy. There may or may not be a few players who signed with teams this offseason or were one of the 256 players drafted in May who proved not to be the ideal fit (although the latter could still wind up on a team’s practice squad).
In any case, here’s a little food for thought when it comes to each team having to say goodbye to a player.
And kudos to those coaches and general managers who have the stomach to make such decisions.

He can cover pretty well but isn't a very good tackler (he's 5'9'' 175lbs). He's good depth.

There were definitely some better players available than McCluster but "Mt. Cody" wasn't one of them.

I'd take Manny Lawson as OLB depth.

.

Cody started for the Ravens in 2011, but the Ravens adjusted their defense, moving Ngata inside to get a more athletic, pass rushing presence inside.

Cody was used as his primary backup to give him snaps off, and still played well in that role.

He was sidelined by injury last year and didn't play to the same level after returning.

If the Ravens cut him, I'd sure as hell give him a look as a player behind Poe, and I have very little doubt a healthy Cody would be a damn site better than Vance Walker as a backup to Poe.

I'd be thrilled if we got Cody and played him in the rotation.

Everything I've read on the guy points to him being a disappointment. However, I don't watch the Ravens, so I'll defer to your knowledge.

However, a back up NT still isn't a better pick than McCluster. I'm not saying McCluster was a good 2nd round pick; just pointing out that the guy most point to as a better pick really wasn't. Daryl Washington was the biggest miss there, imo.

He is still on PUP after having hip surgery, which is his 3rd since last season, 2 on the hip and one on an elbow, who knows when he will be healthy.

We need another true NT as a backup and to let Poe move around to DE some.

Cody is absolutely worth a look.

Looking at that potential cut list, it tells you a lot can change 3 years after a draft. There are a bunch of higher round guys on there.

Yep - cue Hootie's "the draft is a crapshoot" line.

As an aside, why are they playing Walker at NT? I thought he was more of a DE with some pass rushing skill?
