Would you rather be 8-0 with Alex Smith or 3-5 with Geno?

Our offense is terrible with Alex Smith. It would likely be worse with Geno given his propensity to turn the ball over and give the other teams points through pick 6s and returned fumbles for TDs. So seeing as how we barely win with the offense we have now, we'd have likely lost more than a few games if we had Geno as our QB.

But would you rather take those growing pains with Geno, or be 8-0 with Alex and be in the driver seat toward a first round bye in the playoffs?

I have not read one post in this thread, but the NFL is a super finite business, and you're ****ing retarded if you want the Chiefs to be 3-5 instead of 8-0 today.

Who will be in the league as a starter seven years from now? Probably Geno.

Yeah, too bad that didn't work out for the Titans with Steve McNair, huh?

So basically the logic is that Geno would be 3-5 here and Alex would be 8-0 in New York, and stuff like roster and coaching staff is irrelevant?

Or Aaron Rodgers.... can't take a risk like that when you could win a bunch of regular season games right now with an OT from the MAC.

Exactly. I sincerely don't get the OMGWTF reaction to the thought of a rookie QB sitting a season or two and assimilating what it takes to play in the league. Luck and RGIII have completely skewed the expectations of what rookie QB's should be able to do.

Oh hell no. KC is 8 & 0 because of their NASTY D
But,if Geno was tossing the ball here,he would have turnovers that would have caused 1 if not 2 Ls in the win loss column

Edit /& at 6&2 Im still a very happy camper

Would you rather be 8-0 with Alex Smith or 3-5 with Geno?

Saying we would be 3-5 with Geno is an insult to Reid and just flat out wrong. Geno's current coach is a defensive guru who also happens to be a lunatic and despite that he is still playing pretty well with below average NFL talent around him on offense.

He has made mistakes but he is rookie for crying out loud. The expectations some of you put on him are ridiculous. But the better he plays the higher the naysayers will raise expectations so that people can maintain their position of being perceived as correct about him and their belief he is not any good.

Of course not and you know it.

But geno isnt the right guy for this team right now... that's really all i wish people would recognize at this point.

Not a single one of his gutsy bombs is the right call for this current group, we dont have the time to wait on him.

Geno Smithis a turnover machine. Alex Smith is not.

Maybe that will change one day, but that's how it is today.
