Bend Over and Cough: Some Insurance Rates to Quadruple with Obama's "Good Deal" on Healthcare

When you live in a fancy house paid for by taxpayers, go on dozens of luxury vacations per year paid for by taxpayers, and have armies of servants cooking for you, cleaning for you, and protecting you (also paid for by...you guessed it - the taxpayers), I think it's fair to say your perception on a "good deal" might be a little bit skewed.

President Obama feels that the new premiums based on the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare to the masses) are quite reasonable. A positive benefit. An absolute boon to the middle class. “You’ve had is an unprecedented effort that you’ve seen ramp up in the past month or so that those who have opposed the idea of universal health care in the first place -- and have fought this thing tooth and nail through Congress and through the courts -- trying to scare and discourage people from getting a good deal,” Obama said. (source)

However, people have begun finding out how much they’re going to be paying.

And their ideas of ”reasonably priced” seem to differ with that of the President.

One family in Kentucky got an unpleasant surprise when their premiums changed….it went from $333 a month to $965 a month. That’s right. With Obamacare, the family will pay nearly ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS A MONTH for the exact same coverage.

Did you think that was an AR-15?

As far as "directing things at you" I guess that's sort of like you assuming that other people have a mushroom cap for a dick just because you do.

From each according to his ability; to each according to his need.

I am on the fence regarding the ACA, and I am saying this as an individual who will likely make half of what physicians made just 5 years ago.

You, sir, know absolutely nothing about sociological concepts regarding health care. The disparities in this country are hard to swallow, especially when individuals in poorer communities have a hard time paying and/or accessing health care and suffer greatly because of it.

If there is justice in the ACA then we should see docs rewarded in non pay benefits and use the money the have made forever to give to the poor. Medical professionals and lawyers have been in the upper crust since the days of Pompeii . The poorest of the poor could be raised up and made clean with but the crumbs that fall from the napkins of doctors

Obamacare is without a doubt one of the most insane pieces of (shit) legislation ever passed. Anyone who supports it is simply a fool. Socialized medicine doesn't work. Period. The healthcare system needed improvement, but Obamacare isn't it. The whole thing needs to be dumped and they need to start over before it sets the country back even farther.

Since the dems like it so much, they should be the only one's who have to use it and the rest of us should get to keep what we've got. However the fact is just the opposite is happening in that many of its so called "supporters" were given exemptions....

This post is amusing to me, given that the nature of my work is in the concerned area.

Don't worry, I'm sure that <3 Obama <3 will save us all. Our rates are going to go down, wait times are going to go down, quality will go up, lollipops and sunshine will be abundant.
