2-year-old stabbed to death, father arrested

http://www.wane.com/dpp/news/2-year-...ather-arrested

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) - Noblesville medics were called to a home on Wednesday after a 2-year-old was stabbed in the head, officials said. Authorities have confirmed the child has died.

Police have arrested 30-year-old Micah Harrison on a preliminary charge of murder. Harrison is the father of the victim.

The child has been identified as 2-year-old Michael Harrison.

Police say the Harrisons were visiting extended family in the area.

The incident happened around 4:45 p.m. at an apartment on 14924 Waterlily Drive.

Neighbors told 24-Hour News 8 they saw a number of children outside playing Wednesday afternoon on snow piles. They said they saw a little boy fall, get in trouble, and they say they saw him get spanked by a man.

Soon after that, police were called to the apartment complex, after a call that a two year old had been stabbed in the head with a knife.

Authorities say they found two year old Michael Harrison suffering from significant trauma to the head.

Soon after that, neighbors said they saw police detain a man on the ground.

“We saw the cops take him out and then put him on the ground,” said neighbor Jordan Hardister.

“He was just laying there on the ground, and the cops had a gun to him saying, put your hands up,” said neighbor Alex Carstens.

Police say they’re not sure what transpired inside the apartment. They say there were multiple people, adults and children, inside at the time, including Micah and Michael Harrison.

Neighbors also say they saw police carry two small girls from the home shortly after the incident.

Micah Harrison was arrested last March in Baldwin County, Alabama, for failure to appear. He has also faced charges of menacing.

It’s not clear who lives inside the Noblesville apartment. Neighbors believe it to be a couple who had only lived there for about six months.

Police say the two year old’s mother also lives in Alabama.

gut wound from knife or gun...both lethal

shot in the wrist or wrist slit?..knife
shot in the leg or major artery severed....odds knife...

shot in the throat or throat slit? odds knife..

I think we all realize that differnt circumstances get you different results.

both are lethal in the hands of someone intending to inflict harm.
and you aren't going to stop that... a blunt object, a baseball bat..rat poison...you get the point.

....the basic right and need for someone to be able to defend themselves or their family or even a complete stranger will always trump eliminating that right/need.

The common sense gun thinkers realize this. It's just hilarious how mad you weirdos get.

I just don't understand how you guys think these are legitimate points.

"knives are just as dangerous so I guess we have to ban all knives" is a ridiculous counter argument to people pushing gun control. It's simply absurd and does nothing to effectively promote gun rights.

I get that someone like wickedson is trolling the issue. But these responses just stoop to his level. It's the intellectual equivalent of "I know you are, but what am I?"

Of course not. Those things are dangerous. Like guns.

I didn't say a ****ing thing about gun control. You're just being a stupid **** trying to claim guns aren't dangerous based on an imaginary debate you're having over a different topic.

I only posted this in response to his trolling, yes.

I guess the basic answer is that knives, guns, whips, chocolate fudge, wax on the nipples are just tools. They are inanimate objects without a human. It is a hard or crazy heart that kills. Some tools kill better, faster, uglier or meaner. But, the trigger is always the human. And we can't ban humans now can we...

No I am sick and tired of the fashionable attack on guns. People are dangerous not guns. Pretty simple~
