All of the looming cuts to basic services, the recession we're most certainly still in... and 2700 of these things is a good use of money? feed yet another goverment agency thats already too damn big?

For what? plenty of people are laughing it off as usual, but we still havent heard why this is a good idea or why they might be needed.... what, th3e national guard and state police forces wont be enough to handle civil unrest?

I mean really, it's already known via other sources that local police are being more militarized via DHS.
Not to mention how many police are former military who've been trained to see civilians as terrorists after being in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The guy in the below video claims they're a national team too. That's another dangerous marker—nationalization of our police forces.

When we start seeing actual footage of hundreds or a thousand of these things patrolling the border, then i'll believe thats what they're being used for.
