You know who Emmitt Smith was?
Smiff was Priest Holmes if Priest Holmes had been durable instead of a constant brokedick. People talk about how great Priest was at blocking and reading his blocks and all that shit...Emmitt Smith was the most complete back ever. His blocking was ****ing insanely good.

Emmitt Smith had basically his two best seasons without Larry Allen on the offensive line.

No, **** the Cowboys.
I just respect the great Emmitt Smith, because I watched that team every Sunday during their heyday. That's also why I have a hardon for Jimmy Johnson.

A lot of RBs (Dickerson, Sanders, Payton, Allen, Brown, Faulk).
Doesn't mean he wasn't great. Emmitt Smith and Thurman Thomas were basically clones and bother were ****ing greatness regardless of the teams they played on.

Curtis Martin is a good comparison to him. But may have had more talent.

But there is something to be said for that.....im guessing the average career of a RB is about 3 seasons.

Does he have an opinion on our QB situation so we can turn this into a QB thread?

Actually makes one wonder what Curtis Martin (or many others) could've done behind that O-line.

Emmitt was much better than Barry Sanders and O.J. Simpson.
He won Super Bowls. Did they? Trent Dilfer and Doug Williams are much better QBs than Dan Marino and Dan Fouts. Did Marino and Fouts win Super Bowls? Also, EMMITT Smith is and idiot!!! |
