And, just for fun...

Dumervil: 0.70 sacks/game, 0.18 FF/game

Dumervil is too short to be in the Hall of Fame.

I think we're basically in a pass rushing golden age. At his current production, Jared Allen is 2 seasons away from being top 5 all time in sacks. No one but a ridiculous Donkey homer would think that Elvis would be on his way to the hall, but he's producing at a rate that could get him way up there, numbers wise.

The question at this point for these guys is longevity. Bruce Smith played for 18 seasons, Reggie White for 15. If Allen plays for 15 seasons, he'll be right there with White. If Ware plays for 15 seasons, he'll break the all time record.

I guess it's reasonable that in an era of passing we'd also see pass rushing stats rise. I hadn't thought about it, in part because we don't have a good longitudinal history of pass rushing.

White's sack record is amazing. It'd be cool if Allen could break it, because he was a Chief until he decided that he wanted to go to a well-run team.

Oh. Sorry. "Less poorly run team."
