Ian Rapoport has some kind of Chiefs news

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet

Speaking of the #Chiefs… if you're interested in some news, I'd watch Total Access on @nflnetwork in 8 minutes. I'll have some.

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet

As I said on Total Access: #Chiefs are actively pursuing a long-term deal with WR Dwayne Bowe. They've met with his reps, want to keep him.

Excellent.

I really feel like the timing of this leak through Rapoport indicates the Chiefs completed part of the QB evaluation and felt like they found the QB they wanted.

Right.

Before the Combines, interviews, psych evaluation, Wonderlic and individual drills, the Chiefs have already concluded who they'll draft in 10 weeks.

True.

But perhaps they determined they're definitely going QB.

John Dorsey said they were doing their quarterback evaluations Thursday and Friday on NFL AM.

Maybe they got a good long look at Joeckel and decided "nah."

Hence, sign here Albert.

Now let's decide which QB we like.

this douche bag needs to go away

Matt Miller ‏@nfldraftscout

Not disagreeing with the NFLN report about Bowe and Albert, but a team saying they "want" to re-sign a player doesn't mean they will.

If the leaks are coming from the Chiefs, it's a pretty good indication a deal is imminent.
