Shingles. **** yeah!

Started having moderate pain from left knee to waist last weekend, then the eruptions started Tuesday night. Every bit as awesome as you've heard.

Maybe Bob Dole should have paid attention to this new(ish) commercials.

Bob Dole can only hope to be able to wear pants without screaming by Monday. Too much shit to do at work.

They are painful as hell, though. I couldn't ****ing move for a day. I had a newborn a home so I had to be quarantined. A lot of things can bring them on... Stress, exposure to a different strain of the pox virus, a weakened immune system etc.

Well it's about time you realized you were old. The shingles part sucks, just remember, "Getting old Hurts!"

Been living in chronic pain now for 20 years now, went to the doctor the other day, ( last Weds. ) , damn knucklehead told me , we need to get you fixed. I said , after 20 freaking years, you tell me this now after living on drugs for 20 freaking years ? 55yrs old and 20 years of my prime wasted on drugs.

Been in pain for so long I literally do not recall the last time I did not feel pain or hurt.

Yep.

I got them in my mid-thirties. Had the chicken pox as a kid. Had to see an eye doctor twice a week for 3 weeks because it was dangerously close to my eye, which apparently could have blinded me.

Did scar the shit out of the side of my nose though. That's a fun one to explain.

Oh ****, veeery sorry to hear that, i know exactly what you're going through.

Came down with a terrible case all over the right side of my head the october before last, just unbelieveable agony, it was getting into my eye to the point they thought i might lose vision in it, or if it got back far enough, get encephalitis of the brain and possibly lose my life.

Dont count on it being completely healed anytime soon, maybe ever... i still get a very itchy eyebrow and head on that side over a year later, not to mention scarring that will never really go away.
