After the fact - KC's smoking ban, three+ years later

So, now that we have had time to adjust and absorb the smoking ban, how do you feel about it? Was it a good thing, a bad thing, still an unholy infringement on our "civil rights", or do you just not care one way or another?

Poll to come.

No. He is only interested in civil liberties when they align with his own pet interests. If you take the time to educate him, and craft your sentences in a way that a child can understand them, he might be persuaded. I find that it's not really worth the effort.

I don't, I see only pros with gay marriage. There are no real cons to speak of.

I don't need a valid reason, I can just arbitrarily do it and everyone should just go along with it and be fine right? It's my opinion that these posters are better off taking a few days off. Since I think that's the case, it shouldn't matter what they think right? I don't have to take THEIR opinion on the matter since I know what's best.
The only point you made is that the right wing likes to insulate themselves from dissenting opinions. Enjoy your media bubble.

Also pretty off base calling me a liberal. I could post plenty of links from another forum where I get into huge arguments with actual liberals about stuff like food stamps, drones and public worker salaries. But I know it wouldn't matter, you'd just ignore it. People like you literally can't conceive that someone like me could be close to the center, but still recognize that Republicans have gone completely around the bend bat-shit crazy. It just refuses to bear purchase anywhere in your brain.

Reagan and Eisenhower would be liberals on this forum.

Kyle actually banned someone to demonstrate how idiotic this has gotten. Good stuff.

Of course he could have hit a home run and killed two birds with one stone by making Denise the example........ Just sayin'.

I specifically said I had NO CLUE if you were liberal or not. It was someone else who claimed I was picking on liberals. Get your facts straight.

Besides, this issue rarely falls directly along party lines, both political parties are far too inclined to give away OTHER PEOPLE'S rights when it suits their agenda. So your political leanings (which I honestly don't know since I don;t recall any substantial conversations with you in the past) have ZERO to do with this in my mind.

So, Direckshun claims I attacked A liberal and I correct him and point out it was 3. I then make it clear that, in fact, I have no clue if all 3 were liberal but that my statement was simply a correction of the use of the singular in his post which implied it was only one person who was targeted.

Pretty sure most people would read the exchange and conclude that I made it clear that I didn't know if the 3 were liberal or not. If you can''t see that then you may want to look into brushing up on your reading comprehension before you make it a habit of responding to my posts.

And AustinChief, there was a critical flaw in your attempt to teach me and the others a lesson by taking our "right" to post on ChiefsPlanet away......

I stepped outside to have a post on CP, but I still couldn't do it.
