Is a politician's life worth more than yours?
In light of the recent laws regarding firearms in the state of NY one has to ask this question. Our politicians are often escorted by police or armed bodyguards who carry sem-automatic weapons with "high capacity" magazines.

Now one has to ask, why is that ok to protect them but you are not allowed to do the same to protect you?

Do you think that's really the message that's being sent, or do you think it's because it's much more likely that multiple kooks would like to take a shot at the politician than at the average citizen?

If you're looking for something to be outraged about, then the level of health care they receive relative to the average citizen would be a better topic.

Not everyone will understand your sarcasm. There's at least a few on here that think that since the govt has nuclear weapons, the 2nd Am gives a right of private ownership of such weapons.
