I think with a 48 game schedule, it is smart to play just conference games. Get a truer conference champ.

In looking at the Avs' schedule, it looks like they went with this general structure:

48 total games
Divisional teams - 4 games (against two teams) or 5 games (against two teams)
Conference teams - 3 games
Non-conference teams - none

It's a little odd to have so many unbalanced matchups in terms of home team, but probably nothing they could've done about that.

I have never been to an NHL game and I don't know how many opportunities I will have seeing as how Phoenix doesn't have a stable NHL team. Might have to get to a game.

It's fun. Ton of energy compared to NBA games. Then again I just go to Nets games.

Hope they show games on tv and make it relevant again.

I use to try to keep up with it but they never seem to show much games anymore even before the lock out. I couldn't name one player in todays hockey.

Going to a hockey game is on my list of things to do.

NHL is on tv all the time, its just not on ESPN. Its on alot on the new NBC Sports Network.
