The Avs are just...awful. I have no idea how they stay in games being outshot and outplayed the way they do. Varlamov and Giguere deserve medals for their acrobatics in net.

There's a lot of potential, but if you read several posts down in this thread, you'll see all the crap they've dealt with so far this season. They have looked pretty bad at times, like they've never played with each other... because well, several of them haven't. I thought they should have scored more last season, and if they can get some chemistry on offense, they should improve. Defense, OTOH, has been an issue for at least a few years, and could be an issue all season.

It's hard as a Ducks fan to not root for Jiggy especially situations like last night.

Funny how all ex-teammates from '07 scored the goals on him.

That also should have been a loss for us.

Yeah, that game where they beat the Blues 1-0 was all the more irritating because the Blues absolutely controlled that game.

I didn't think the Avs had a chance to score all night. Anytime they'd get into the Blues zone, it would be a couple of passes and then back the other way. They just didn't have the firepower to sustain a rush.

And then we !@#$ing lost because we couldn't get one past Varlamov.

That's not a very good team.
