Media Quiet About San Antonio Theater Shooting

On Sunday December 17, 2012, 2 days after the CT shooting, a man went to a restaurant in San Antonio to kill his X-girlfriend. After he shot her, most of the people in the restaurant fled next door to a theater. The gunman followed them and entered the theater so he could shoot more people. He started shooting and people in the theater started running and screaming. It’s like the Aurora, CO theater story plus a restaurant!

Now aren’t you wondering why this isn’t a lead story in the national media along with the school shooting?

There was an off duty county deputy at the theater. SHE pulled out her gun and shot the man 4 times before he had a chance to kill anyone. So since this story makes the point that the best thing to stop a bad person with a gun is a good person with a gun, the media is treating it like it never happened.

Only the local media covered it. The city is giving her a medal next week. Just thought you’d like to know.

Agenda revealed! If you had any doubts that the media was pushing for this and who their masters were, doubt no longer. This is spooky. Alot of what you read in the ‘conspiracy world’ is bull but there IS alot of truth too.. You just have to sort out the facts yourself. -Mort

But for me, this damn well better come with fewer gun free zones. In my opinion, the only mandatory gun free zones should be bars or any public place that has both armed security and metal detectors (Federal courthouses, etc)

In Montana, you're already banned from places that serve and consume alcohol on the premise (bars, concert venues, sporting events) and Federal buildings.

I wish the laws were more uniform state to state.

Well I see it as, an officers authority and accountability dictates the protocol they must adhere to. CCW are not police and therefore will not/should not have the same protocol as to when they can fire.

It's the same in Texas.

The problem is when you start adding in schools and other areas. Oh, and it is illegal to have a gun in a "school zone" in EVERY state due to a FEDERAL LAW which was originally ruled unconstitutional so that added weasel language to it and put the law in place again. It has yet to go to the Supreme Court to be challenged for a second time. (btw that blatant circumvention of the court was done by Janet Reno.. I hope that bitch gets Parkinson's)

I haven't read the thread, so maybe this point has already been made:

Not a single soul I'm aware of in the gun control debate has ever argued that off duty law enforcement should not be allowed to conceal and carry.

There was a study conducted about two weeks after Newport to analyze like the most 60 recent mass shootings. Like... two of them were stopped by somebody firing back at the shooter, and both were off duty law enforcement.

That's because most mass shootings happen in gun free zones. No resistance makes for high casualties.

How much have you heard about the Clackamas mall shooter?

http://www.kgw.com/news/Clackamas-ma...183593571.html

Guy walks into a mall with an AR and starts shooting killing two people then his rifle jams (I know, right?). As he is trying to clear his rifle a CCW holder pulls his handgun and maneuvers for position. The shooter sees him and realizing there was someone else there with a gun takes his own life.

That was brought up in another thread. As I recall some dumbass didn't understand why that would be important.

The point you consistently refuse to acknowledge is that a good guy with a gun can stop a bad guy with a gun.

Yeah, I read that before. I've made a generalization in post 23 and in other threads on these cowards.

I do not support any gun free zones, however in places where drinking is allowed anyone carrying cannot be allowed one drop of booze~

I agree, I wouldn't make them de jure gun free zones, instead I would have a CWI (carrying while intoxicated) law. If you have ANY measurable alcohol in your system or are observed drinking and carrying... you face criminal penalties)

I could not agree more, you carry you do not drink a drop. I know this may anger some but the is a hard line with me~

So, you are ok with armed citizens as long as they have training.

And your study is either bogus or you are mischaracterizing it. Plenty of people have pointed out recent situations where an armed CIVILIAN stopped shooters. The incidents weren't reported on MSNBC so I doubt you would know about them.
