Any small engine guys here? Snowblower issue

Went out to fire up the snowblower, and it turned over briefly then died. I tried for a bit to start it to no avail. I let it sit for a while and tried again, and now it's leaking fuel from the muffler area - a small spray when I try to start it, and a small pool if I lay the blower back.

Does that say Fisher Price on the handle? They might have a manual on the website.

I will if I have to, but between my bad back, and our fairly steep driveway, I'd like to avoid it.

I never cared at our old house, because our driveway was short and flat, but this house is steep enough if it gets icy my work truck has a tendency to slide instead of park.

I never cared at our old house, because our driveway was short and flat, but this house is steep enough if it gets icy my work truck has a tendency to slide instead of park.

My strategy is usually wait a couple days. It almost always melts by then. Steep driveways kind of change things, I guess.

I can't see his pics. Some small engines don't have a float. If it does he could probably tap the bowl with something and free it up

Pull the plug, dry the plug with a lighter, crank the motor over a few times with the spark plug removed,to get the wet fuel out. also if you take the machine inside & let it warm up. It will help big time if its a 2 stroke.

I don't think I have any clue where to even look for that. I had already tried burning off the plug with my mapp gas torch and dry cranking the engine. No go.

Guess I'll throw it in the truck in the morning, buy a new plug and try it then. if it doesn't work I'll run it by soomeplace.

You can usually shake it around a but, tap it lightly with a rubber mallet, and if nothing else, take it apart... If it's gunked-up with old gas, it's a pretty common problem..
