well, as a restaurant vet, we use those identifiers but my God I'd never have the balls to ever put that on someone's bill! That's just flat out wrong.

oh and...25% off?

are you ****ing kidding me?

If I managed that place I would have been like "ok, well Jeff will be getting fired. Also, this meal is on us. We are so sorry, this is plain unacceptable. Please realize this is an isolated incident and it will never happen again. Here's a $50 gift card for your next visit."

Really? I know we're all joking but you shouldn't have to be subjected to that kind of behavior at a restaurant regardless of how fat, black, white, gay, ugly, old, etc. you are deemed to be by the staff.

I'm curious why the OP felt the need to fabricate a lawsuit angle for the story. Nowhere in the piece did it say anything about the girls suing anyone.

when I managed a restaurant in Dallas our clientele was mainly ghetto black people on the weekends (it was a Dave and Buster's)...it was insane. 90% don't tip, 5% don't know how to tip correctly...5% overtip to make up for the other 95%.

It's hard to keep a staff motivated to serve these people when 9 out of 10 times the most they'll get is 5%.

I was always different...these are the types that don't tip, but also have the most complaints. When I was a server, I gave these people better service because I made plenty of money and the last thing I needed was to be accused by one of these people as being racist and have to deal with an awkward table while pissing off management. The shitty people always got my A+++ service while everyone else simply got my A service!

Isn't that crazy? I gave better service to shitty tippers. I was very paranoid about being good at my job which was probably a reason why I never once got a complaint. A PROFESSIONAL WAITER I WAS.

Uhm, well...the story led in with 'now they think the restaurant should pay!' Like 10 seconds in.

so it sort of implied they were suing, or it implied they wanted them to pay via bad press.
