Do you think the Democratic Party is the cause of the financial crisis (which is the most relevant cause of today's unemployment rates)?

Black unemployment has nothing to do with an Obama Presidency or Democrat Senate. Unemployment rates correspond brilliantly with education rates. The more education, the lower the employment. Who is often left behind in education? Low income classes. Which races disproportionately make up the low income persons? Racial minorities.

I want you to go on the record in saying that black people are too stupid or short-sighted to vote for their true interests. You believe that, don't you?
"I want"... The liberal mantra in toto.

Actually, I believe many people (regardless of race) who are economically struggling (or perceived to be struggling as compared to their counterparts) will vote for the person who offers them the most for free. Thus the reason the class warfare BS for the last 8 years has played so well.

I said democrat party. It has existed for a long, long time. And throughout it's entire history it was inflicted harm on the black community. That means way back when they created the KKK, when they tried to keep slavery, when they tried to prevent blacks from being able to vote, from being treated equally, from integrating society, to today, where they use the welfare state to destroy the family structure, create dependence upon government, and intimidate folks who don't agree with their policies, for political power.

No organization has inflicted more harm upon the black community in this country than democrats.

If you take this argument to its logical conclusion than why not abolish the whole concept of a state.

O.M.G. seriously those two examples doesn't lead there. You're relying on two valued logic and that doesn't work. Limited govt is not no govt....it just restricts the Federal govt from doing a lot of things the left wants to do.

Oh, but some libertarians don't want a state anyway.

Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, and Bush all were pimping fannie and freddie mac. But underneath it all, is the king mother of all pimps, Uncle Ben's wild ride instant money. Just add water and cook for 5 minutes and you get a trillion dollars.

No, I'm not moving the goalposts. I just described what the welfare state is, and said we benefit from it. You probably want to make the welfare state into an exaggerated monster in order to say it provides a cradle to grave life of luxury.

Yes, even Democrats like myself belief that cradle to grave entitlements entrap people (of all races). But importantly, this country isn't built on a social Darwinist theme. It's built on a theme of opportunity and freedom. And sometimes Republicans believe that means it's the opportunity to find yourself in a ditch and pull yourself out. I get the theory: in the end, you are stronger. But I think more of the idea that it means when you find yourself in a ditch, you know you have a ladder somewhere that can help you get out of the ditch and back to that opportunity and freedom. My problem isn't so much that they deserve it, but because they might try to grab at people's ankles and bring them into the ditch.

The welfare state doesn't destroy family structure. It literally promotes family, in a way that is often denigrated (more babies = more tax deductions + more welfare).

The KKK was birthed by southern Democrats. But to impute that damage to today's Democratic Party is not done out of historical correctness, but to advance your Republican agenda.

No, it's not obvious that black people are generally stupid or short-sighted. I think they're generally as smart and strategic as any human being.

BTW, how's that post-Romney, more-inclusive GOP thing working out these days? Is that charade over?

So now I see where things have gone haywire.

Here I thought 'family' meant more than just chucking out offspring. Silly me.

Think of the stress between a husband and wife when one of them gets laid off. Now imagine that situation without unemployment insurance, or, if need be, food stamps.
