Entry Level Electronic Drum Kit

anyone have any suggestions?
I used to play guitar quite extensively and have been playing since 1993, but have become burned out on it and I haven't played at any length for about 3 years. I'm looking for a new hobby and would like to try something completely new.

I'd like to get an entry level kit, but also one that I won't 'grow out of' so to speak, should I continue to progress at a decent rate.

Unlike guitar where I just learned on the fly etc tab etc, I'd like to learn the drums from scratch - and understand the techniques and methods.


What do you guys think?

Real musicians knock rockband/guitar hero a lot, but they are idiots.
I can play real guitar/bass/drums and have to say that Guitar Hero/Rockband are hands down THE BEST noob learning method to help teach hand-eye coordination, rhythm, and breaking down the structure of songs to help you learn about playing REAL instruments.

If someone wanted to learn to play guitar or drums and I was their instructor, I would simply tell them to play those games until they reach hard/expert difficulty, and then come back to me.
