Save Our Chiefs is proud to announce the "Can *****" Food Drive. Starting this Sunday against the Panthers, we want you to bring as many canned food items to the game as you can. We want to donate thousands of canned food items. We will post our collection points later this week. We know this is a tough time of the year for the homeless and those seeking assistance to put food on their tables at home. SaveOurChiefs.com wants to help. Stay tuned for more details on the "Can *****" Food Drive!

Yeah, I do hope that someone out there (in terms of an actual food bank) bites the bullet and partners with us for this. I'd be more than happy to donate to the organization that steps up.

Just pick your favorite local foodbank and go. I personally prefer smaller foodbanks. They're more intimate and their volunteers are more likely to be actual volunteers and not paid staffers. Not that there's anything wrong with full-time help, it's just that volunteers are a little more closely involved with their clients and I suspect they're not going to allow a deadbeat to take advantage of their good will for very long.

help the small banks. They have to buy their food from Harvesters for 10 cent per can. Harvesters has a nice racket going.

For progress today I worked my own job, attended traffic court, did some bids and tonight I'm going to write another song for SOC with Kenneth Duncan. The only thing I did on this was take a call from City Union Mission. They can't take our food either because of the implied endorsement of "Can *****". Does anybody else find it to be absolutely pathetic that the Chiefs have all of these non-profits by the balls to the point they refuse food? It's just food. We want to help.
