Since so many here already have their minds made up about not only who they are going to vote for, but are certain beyond any doubt who will win, it is time to move on.

Romney is an economic "genius" whose entire campaign is based on the idea that Obama didn't get the economic recovery going fast enough.

So how long should we wait until Romney deserves the same blame for not getting the economy going?

I did some searching to see how long various CP members gave Obama prior to blame:

6 months - petegz29
Biden doing damage control on economic situation

58 Days - HonestCheiffan- Obama It's not my fault, Blame Bush

51 days - patteeu (Velvet Jones and BucEyedPea agreeing)- Obama lied the economy died

39 days - memyselfI (and HCF and others agreeing) - 6000 here we come Yikes Doombama is tanking Wall Street

(-69) days - Bootlegged Obama elected market down 520 points

and (-101) days Bootlegged

I think Romney has already indicated who is to blame...no need to give that to Romney. 16 trillion debt is squarely on the shoulders of Obama.
But, I will tell you that if Romeny doesn't reduce it, I will be the first to jump in and say, it's congress's fault. Dem's aren't joining in, they are undermining etc etc etc, they won't reach across the isle, blah blah blah that I heard from democrats

That's about 5 1/2 more months than Obama got before the right was bitching. And Mitt would be inheriting an improving economy, not one that just went over a cliff.

I don't care so much about the general public, but I think Romney should get a four year honeymoon from most of the media because of two reasons; Obama's still getting his, plus the fact he's inheriting a much bigger mess than Obama did.

Of course he'll be HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATED for unseating their golden boy so the media will go after him like no other.

Obama isn't "responsible" for the bad economy, yet bush was..and when/if something good happens... POOF! Obama gets the credit.something bad..bush's fault.
