I'll give it the old college try, just because of that. I know I'll never love it like I do the original(s), but I understand the interest in revamping it for a new audience. (Young kids who've never seen the original movies, and wouldn't give them a chance if they did.)

Of course, my teenage boys can quote Army of Darkness pretty much line for line..lol That's just a product of growing up with me.

Two different kinds of movies so it's hard to compare. Evil Dead 2 went with a 50/50 hybrid of comedy (some unintentional) and horror, where the first one was almost 100% horror. Both great films though.
