Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:
Spoiler!

GIF #2:
Spoiler!

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get ***** and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

Yep.

I don't think it's about how far a QB can throw it as much as it is how quickly does the ball get there.

Having said that. Do I think Barkley's arm is strong enough for the NFL? Sure. It's just that I think we can all agree it will never be considered strong and there's just certain throws you probably wouldn't want in your playbook with him.

ex: deep out on the far hash marks.

In that split second, Geno Smith has completed his windup and the ball is out of his hands just as he gets hit.

THAT is an elite QB, folks
And the fact that he throws it perfectly in between 3 defenders.

And the fact that he does so repeatedly. Smith makes these types of throws every game multiple times a game.

His accuracy combined with that amazingly quick release...the tools he has just scream "ELITE."

I guarantee you that if you provide quality leadership to this team in terms of a general manager that the players and media and fans get behind, get a competent head coach, a good OC and DC and Geno Smith, this team is immediately competitive.

2013 Wish List:

GM: Marc Ross
- Presided over the draft classes that gave the NY Giants two Superbowls. Smart, proven and young (39) but not too young. He's ready for the next step.

Head Coach: Brian Kelly
- His immediate success at both Cincinnati and Notre Dame is amazing. The guy can motivate and lead a football team.

OC: Undecided at this point. Maybe Bobby Petrino. I don't want that dude as a HC, but he is a talent on the offensive side of the ball.

DC: Dick Bumpas
- The work he's done at TCU has been nothing short of remarkable.

QB: Geno Smith
- Because he's a freaking rock star. All the tools to become an elite NFL QB. And he's smart, humble and a workaholic in the film room, on the field, etc. They guy is a football player.

No chance that Brian Kelley leaves Notre Dame.

Don't know about Bobby Petrino.

I would take Chan Gailey back at OC if he could be lured back.

He and Geno would be a perfect match.
