I spoke with Dr. Paul this afternoon about continuing the fight by running on a third party ticket. I want to share what he said to me and let you know what needs to be done to make this happen. Yes it is ! BUT until we get back to "BASE-LINE BUDGETING"(using REAL numbers-that Nixon eliminated in the early 70's giving Dems and open checkbook) our debt will never be dealt with regardless of spending less.

The current path of entitlements is un-sustainable, the takers out-number the givers. Nothing short of drastic measures will reverse that. Too many people have become dependent on government subsidies. The rest have become apathetic or complacent.

When in world history has a country ever tanked it's own freedoms and liberties and ever regained them back ??? Hell, when has a country truly ever had what our country has had in liberties and freedoms not too mention the wealth and advanced culture, LOST them and then regained them ???

Hasn't happened and it won't happen. Once their gone they are gone for good and the reason why is to your point about apathy(laziness of wanting the state to give them so-called security as opposed to self-reliance. Self-reliance is waaaaaaaay too hard for a fat and happy deadbeat society that is almost 50% there. "Shit, why work if you don't have to and supposedly still have damn near the same socioeconomic level of living? And that's the dirty little lie that those who buy into the 'apathy - the rich guy owes me, "Frankie Fungus" - bullshit argument' that in reality the 'poor deadbeats' get truly poorer and more of the middle class join the deadbeat class not wanting or deserving to be poor. This is what truly happens when you buy into the Marxist class warfare argument. Nowhere in world history has 'socialism' EVER worked for ALL in a society.

So to say we need to tank the country ASAP is just truly naive thinking.

Seriously, the GOP passed the Patriot Act and have cost us many freedoms. Obama, of course, will run against Bush, by being Bush. Read some of Tea Party conservative's Gary North on why today's conservatives think it's just the apparent left that is costing us our freedoms. He parses D'Souza movie on Obama and shows where it's irrelevant. Left and right are more irrelevant today than ever.

No, it's what two major polls showed albeit, if he ran under the Republican ticket. Of all the Republican candidates, he lagged behind Obama the least. Later in a similar poll Paul was in a statistical tie with Romney on it.

On an Independent ticket the game changes and it's harder. On the Libertarian ticket, he likely would not win as they don't have broad appeal. On either ticket he would do damage to you traitors.

Okay. Now, I think those who were freaking out in this thread, attacking Paul's credibility with the worst of it calling him "corrupt" need to calm down until it's a fact that Paul will agree to this move calling him to run as a 3P. It just drives more Paul supporters away from possibly considering Mitt in the end. This is what the qabban types don't realize.
