I'm addicted to Afrin Nasal Spray

Anybody else become reliant on this shit during allergy season? I've gotten to the point where surgery might be an option. The stuff works like crazy, but I've become addicted.

Anybody have some good alternatives regarding breathing through your nose with allergies? Have you had any issues with the Afrin? I'm not sure how common it is.

Flonaise or Nasocort.

It's a localized corticose steroid. It takes a couple weeks to get it there, but it achieves decongestion far more comfortably than Afrin.

Do it. Today. Far better than Afrin. Pair it with Zyrtec or Allegra and you will feel like a different human in 2 weeks.

An ex was/is. Shit's expensive. Try the store brand. It's like $9 vs. $2. And works nearly, like real close, as well.

Stonedstooge has the better idea though.

No. The steroid stays localized. I take it for allergies and Advair for asthma during the awful season. No immune response. No soft tissue response. No sleep response. No heartrate or blood pressure response. It's good shit.

It's not addiction. Afrin type nasal sprays will be less effective the more you use it. It can cause what's called rebound congestion. If you use it too often, it can actually cause congestion as opposed to relieving it. There's no addiction to it though, you're just using it too often to the point it's not as effective, which makes you think you need more.
