Mike Miller had 1 good game in the Finals. He hasn't been healthy in 2 years. Ray Allen being a spot up shooter is exactly what the Heat want him to be and he'll get plenty of wide open looks. Allen also is constantly moving and rotating on offense which is another virtue for Miami who can sometimes become stagnant.

So, NBA fans how does Tyshawn Taylor's game translate?

Pluses - good size, quick, good at getting to the basket

Negatives - must transform into a pure PG, inconsistent shooter

I've seen him projected anywhere from late first round undrafted.

Thoughts?

As far as KU guys go... he'll be better than Vaughn but not as successful as Hinrich.

He's a quick defender with length and that is always needed in the NBA. Qualities that guys like Sherron lack.

I don't think he'll be as good as Chalmers though.

Chalmers played incredibly well.

Great value pick for Miami.

I never understood why he dropped that year. He was amazingly consistent at KU with lots of NBA level highlites.

Oh well, he got his.

Ray Allen at this point in his career doesn't do it for me. He can shoot, but he's pretty much done. I'm not saying he's not an upgrade over Miller. I'm just saying he's not going to shoot better than Cole, Battier, Miller and Chalmers did in the finals. If the Heat get that type of shooting they are close to impossible to beat. Ray Allen doesn't make them any better or worse. He's a good shooter to have and it's a good move for Miami. I just think people are over hyping it because he's Ray Allen.

I'm not sure what he was talking about. I keep seeing his first round.

I haven't read a mock in a long while. It may have been even before the workouts. But I know read somewhere that had him going undrafted.

Probably right around where Chalmers went I would think. #32-36

Probably not, but it wouldn't surprise me if he snuck in there. What would surprise me if he went undrafted. Hope he goes to someone I don't hate

If Tyshawn goes to the right place I think he can be a solid player. Someone just has to coach the dumb mistakes out of him.

That line of thinking is flawed and ridiculous. It assumes that the Heat always shoot the way they did in the Finals. They don't. Ray Allen is a significantly better shooter than Norris Cole, Shane Battier, and Mario Chalmers.

In the Finals Battier shot a ridiculous 58% from 3 but during the season he only shot 34% and in the first three rounds of the playoffs he shot 31.8%, 27.3%, and 35%.

During the season Norris Cole was a 27.6% 3-pt shooter. Chalmers was a 39% 3pt shooter and even in the Finals he shot 35%.

Mike Miller is easily the best shooter of the group. He's a career 40.5% 3pt shooter, shot 43.5% on the season, and 63.6% in the Finals. The problem is he's never healthy. Prior to his game 5 7/8 outburst he made 1 out of his previous 13 3pt attempts in the playoffs.

Ray Allen shot above 45% from 3 on the season.

It's tough to say where he goes. This draft is incredibly thin at the PG position. Teams like Chicago who need depth at that position may snag him at the end of the 1st.

I'd say his range is 25-40
