The Hunts would also like to thank the Royals for making people think the Chiefs have actually done anything meaningful in the last 20 years. But I guess anything is meaningful compared to Royals baseball.

Yeah winning the division and making the playoffs means nothing. The Royals are one of the more irrelevant teams in all of sports. It's embarrassing how some of you think they actually have a chance at being competitive.

What is embarrassing is fans of the Chiefs who bag on the Royals. Most everyone who is a Royals fan on this board is very realistic about this franchise. Most of us know they suck ass. I haven't seen anyone who is a Royals fan who is delusional about this team, thinking all of a sudden this team is going to be really good. Baseball is a different beast than football.

Shockingly, go outside of CP and many people bag on people who are Chiefs fans. I can't tell you how many times I tell people I am a Chiefs fan and they just laugh. If you honestly think both franchises aren't getting laughed at by most people, you are a complete idiot. It is comical that you somehow think the Chiefs are so much more of a better franchise than the Royals by saying the Chiefs have been competitive. Congrats....being competitive in a salary capped league, with more playoff spots. Wow, I love being competitive.

Most people on here were saying there was an outside chance that they could be competitive, but that it would require starting pitching better than the players they appeared to have, and that we didn't expect the jump until 2013 or perhaps even 2014. Most people on here recognized that a roster this young would have some growing pains as guys who were rookies last year adjusted to the major league game and the struggles that come with it. Most people on here did expect better offensive performance (which we have seen signs of recently) and better performance from the bullpen. Most people expected them to be better than 6-16 at this point. That does not, however, mean that any of us thought they'd be 16-6, or that we are/were/will ever be homers.

And in fact, the people who bag on the royals the most tend to be the biggest homers of all, ironically. And it's the same with the Chiefs. Because a homer always expecting the worst is in no way better than a homer expecting sunshine and rainbows. It's the same tunnel vision, taken towards a different extreme.

They have a decent series of Boulevard taps open to the public inside the Diamond Club (behind home plate). Taco truck in Center is extremely underwhelming. Lot of distractions from what goes on in the field, just walk around.
