Eh, every loss sucks, no moral victories and all that, but damn... this team will be battle tested when the shit gets important.

And seriously, just how good is Flip Pressey? For every "Why'd he do that!?!?!" there about five "How'd he do that's"

Until a "sunshine style politics" scheme is brought to officiating, official's peer review done in public, this won't get fixed. Way too many calls in "big time sports" (sports with significant profits implications for its players) are left unquestioned after the fact. Some will make excuses like judgment calls, what they could see from where they were, the speed of the game, "letting them play." etc., but until the officials are placed in a situation where they have to explain themselves publicly I don't think officiating gets fixed. If it's done behind closed doors it's not good enough.

He looked gased at the end. The entire team did, imo. West coast timezone ****ing with them maybe?

Then we get Pressey hacked on a 3 pt shot and no call.

Toss in a few more travels not called in the 2nd on UCLA then the foul fest topped off with a bs flagrant that wasn't called.

Yeah, I guess you could say it wasn't unbalanced. If you're a UCLA fan.
It wasn't THAT bad. There was also a clear Missouri charge late in regulation that was called as a block.

But whatever. I know you guys are pissed right now, so I'll stay out of your thread. I wasn't trying to ruffle any feathers; just trying to give a little outside perspective.

UCLA was called for 2 fouls with 10 seconds remaining in the second half. 2 fouls in a fast paced half. 2.

Whining about the refs is lame... MU had multiple opportunities and pissed them away. Hard to win on the road but had our chances. Learn and build from it.

I agree we had our chances to win. Just would have been nice had we not had to battle the refs as well as UCLA.

Let's be honest, UCLA wasn't even in the game until the Refs started poking their nose in it. Every time they stayed out of it MU took the lead and every time MU took the lead suddenly the calls started coming.

That was pretty bad. As I said previously, when talented players are motivated to win, they can be pretty impressive. That's why the best teams in the country are also well-coached; that talent comes out every night. Teams like UCLA and Texas have all the talent in the world and coaches that can't seem to do shit with it, so when the players themselves are motivated enough, anything can happen. That's why I think Howland and Barnes are such shit coaches.

Good news is, I had Minnesota on the money line. Just wish I would've bet more. Of course, I say that with 3 minutes remaining and TTU with the ball. I lost Mizzou ML and pushed on Mizzou +3

UCLA was the 12th most efficient offense coming into the game...

Our D sucked most of the night, but they're a very good offensive team.

But you guys weren't really attacking the rim, which is where the vast majority of foul calls come from. You had a lot of wide open looks from the outside, and some wide open underneath baskets. You didn't really give UCLA a chance to foul you.

The good thing is, it's basketball. We'll tear shit up in the SEC. One of the top 3 teams at the least. And UCLA looks pretty good to me, it's not like we lost to some no-name.

Missouri athletics and expectations is the deadliest combination of things I can think of. Nothing makes me want to ****ing end it all like a Mizzou team that underperforms.
