They've definitely put Sanchez in a tough position. There's going to be a faction of people calling for him to be replaced every time he screws up now... even if he plays well 75% of the time.

It will take willful naivety on the part of Jets fans to argue otherwise. Meanwhile, Sanchez essentially has a make-or-break year ahead. He regressed in year three, so he needs to take two important steps forward to suggest that he'll develop into the franchise QB the Jets believed he would be.

If not, he'll be gone in '13 or moved to the backup role.
